For the Vihara to succeed in its goal of giving the monks a place to live and supporting their lives and their work, we need you. Volunteers who understand the monks’ lifestyle of renunciation, and want to support them, make sure that they have a place to live (the house in northeast Charlotte near Shamrock & Eastway Drive), paying the mortgage and expenses; bring food for their begging bowls each morning; give transportation as needed; and participate in their programs.

The expenses for maintaining the bhikkhunis include rent and utilities. Everyone is encouraged to participate through monthly pledges, even as little as $5 per month. To show your support for continued presence of bhikkhunis (fully ordained female monks).
