Vihara Yardwork – dirty your hands, purify your heart! Sunday morning 17th March

Spring gardening at the Vihara Sunday March 17th, 9am-noon (timing is flexible, drop-ins welcome).
Weeding, expanding flower beds, planting seeds and potted plants, and more weeding, are all on the agenda.
Welcome to bring potting soil! and mulch, and whatever gardening tools you find handy – gloves, shovels, trowels. (Be sure to bring your hat and fav beverage.) Bring along a friend, or bring your kids and the whole family. Or just come bringing your enthusiasm and we’ll put you to work.
“But why should I tackle the Vihara’s yard instead of my own?” It’s not an either/or choice; once you join the cheerful group here, you’ll feel energized to beautify your own yard at home.
Besides, working for the benefit of the community gives you a different boost: gaining lots of good karma by supporting your Buddhist center. And the satisfaction of knowing you helped others see this place as the lovely peaceful shelter it is for healing hearts and minds.
